Hello! My name is Hatsie. I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a double major in Consumer Behavior and Marketplace Studies and Art History, and a minor in Entrepreneurship.

Consumer Behavior and Marketplace Studies (CBMS) is a nationally ranked program that blends technology, business analytics, creativity, and empathy. Through my studies, I discovered a passion for exploring human ecosystems and cultural experiences through the lens of art, design, and fashion. I'm endlessly fascinated by how personal style, beauty, and creative expression shape our identities and the way we move through the world.

It was this passion that led me to spend two semesters abroad in France and Spain in 2023.

In Paris (January to May 2023), I studied at the Alliance Française in the 4th arrondissement, focusing on French language and Global Art History. During my time there, I explored more than 35 museums, from the Louvre to the Guimet Museum of Asian Art, immersing myself in the city's rich artistic and cultural history. Paris became my ultimate classroom in fashion and beauty—I spent countless hours wandering the Marais, observing Parisian style, discovering vintage boutiques, and learning how French women approach beauty with an effortless elegance that feels both timeless and modern.

After a summer at home in Norwalk, Connecticut, I ventured to Madrid (August to December 2023) as a remote UW Madison student. Without a traditional campus, I embraced the city itself as my classroom, studying in public libraries, parks, and cultural spaces while navigating the vibrant urban landscape. Madrid's fashion scene offered a different perspective—bold, expressive, and unafraid of color and experimentation. I loved observing how Spanish style celebrated individuality and joy.

Living in France and Spain prompted me to consider how humans interact with and shape their environments—and how we adorn ourselves within them. In Paris, I learned from history; the art, architecture, and fashion of the Ancien Régime reveal an enduring pursuit of beauty that continues to influence haute couture and beauty standards today. In Madrid, I was inspired by the future of functionality in public space, where human-centered design creates efficiency, comfort, and joy in daily life—principles I see reflected in contemporary fashion and beauty innovation.

2023 was a year of discovery, growth, and inspiration. It strengthened my commitment to thinking critically about how humans create, respond to, and connect with their spaces through art, design, fashion, and beauty. These experiences abroad ignited a deeper curiosity about the intersection of culture, style, and self-expression—a curiosity that led me to launch a fashion blog in 2024, which you can explore here on this website. Through my blog, I share my perspectives on trends, personal style, beauty discoveries, and New York City sidewalk style. Encased in this website are my visual experiences of Paris and Madrid, alongside my ongoing journey through the world of fashion.
